This is a preliminary program for the opening of our first MAGIC MUSHROOM MUSIC JAM on Saturday, May 1, starting at 4 p.m.
Tim Robinson, a member of the Muscogee Creek tribe from South Alabama, will lead members of his tribe in a traditional Blessing Dance and will be joined by Akitchitay Carlino, a member of the Taeno tribe from Puerto Rico.
Together, they will open up the SACRED DIRECTIONS, following the TAINO Indigenous Pathways of the Caribbean through music, ceremony and culture.
Then we will begin DRUMMING, dancing in celebration and appreciation of the natural medicines MOTHER EARTH offers. Akitchitay Music Performance (1st Drum Circle)
In a 45 min performance, Akitchitay will share the essence and traditional sounds of the rain forest tribe, The TAINO. He is a descendent of the Taeno and Cherokee nation.
In the evening, we will close the night with another community drum circle and the CLOSING OF THE SACRED DIRECTIONS.
