2020 GEORGIA MUSHROOM FESTIVAL aka MUSH FEST
Fungi Farm was founded in 2018 out of love of fungi and has now added the first spawn lab and laboratory cultivation at Fungi Farm in Alabama. Alan enjoys teaching mushroom cultivation to people who want to learn how to grow mushrooms at home.
An exciting grower from Asheville has joined our team! David, aka Cougar, is the Founder of Phenomenal Fungi and the Chief Science Officer. He is an herbalist with 30 years experience and 15 years ago, a friend introduced him to reishi and maitake mushrooms. Soon after, he discovered Paul Stamets’s book “Cultivator” and was hooked.
Our firebrand LOUD MOUTH'ers from Talking Rock are bringing an amazing variety of mushrooms they grow on their farm where they live with goats, donkeys and chickens.
Brian is a Certified mushroom forager who harvests wild gourmet mushrooms for sale to restaurants, health food stores and at farmers markets. He is also a grower with his own operation in Dalohnega, GA, organizes local mushroom forays and teaches the mushroom certification needed to sell mushrooms legally.
A new, exciting, vendor with many years of experience growing mushrooms is coming to our Georgia Mushroom Festival: Pat High is the founder of the Florida Mushroom Festival and will talk and teach about mushrooms and present her workshop.
"What to Do with Mushrooms?" The workshop includes making fresh turkey tail tea, how to make a fresh shiitake oatmeal facial scrub, as well as a fresh shiitake avocado mask. Your skin will be amazed!
