Jesse will talk about what is needed

THE SOUTHERN HERBALIST, Darryl Patton

Darryl is widely known as The Southern Herbalist and has a herbalist school in Mentone, AL. He was a student of Tommy Bass who was a healer in northern Alabama. Darryl will be a speaker,  lead a wild edibles walk in the park and sell his tinctures, proven natural country remedies, books and CD's.

FUNGI ALUMNI, Joshua Abshire

Joshua is joining us from Macon, GA to support our mushroom community. He will be talking about his experiences with growing mushrooms at home and starting a small business. He will also teach a mushroom growing workshop "How to Grow Mushroom At Home".


CHRISTIAN KILLEBREW-MARR

Mycoremediation

Christian is a mycologist and her central driving passion is her work with fungi. She believes that the Kingdom of Fungi will ultimately aid in saving our earth and species. In addition to teaching about Fungi as often as possible and cultivating and collecting on her own, she has recently founded the Tampa Bay Mycology Society (www.facebook.com/FLMycology). 

JESSE AKOZBEK, The Art of Nature Photography

Jesse. of the North Alabama Foraging Club,  will lead a mini-workshop on nature photography. The workshop will cover the tools and techniques he uses to capture his photography. The workshop will be followed by a short photo hike where everyone will be able to put their new knowledge to practice!

 

JOSHUA ABSHIRE / Fungi Alumni

Joshua is a mushroom grower from Macon, GA, and will speak and teach a workshop on How to Grow Mushrooms at Home. He will share his experience as a mushroom grower. He will also participate in our cooking competition assisted by his wife, Tiffany, who is a certified dog trainer.
