ATTENTION! MUSHROOM ENTHUSIASTS & NATURE LOVERS
We have the perfect opportunity to explore 1200+ acres of pristine, private property off of state route 100 in Poetry (NW of Rome).
This location is a cooperative-owned forest community committed to sustainable living, regenerative agriculture, hosting people in remote wild places and letting the forest work it’s magic.
Since the owner is a former PARAOLYMPIC gold medal winner, we strive to make this foray accessible for people with disabilities and the elderly.
The property uses several all-terrain vehicles that can shuttle foragers to level areas where they can be dropped off and search smaller areas.
Until the venue's website is completed, tent/cabin rental and camping fees are directly payable to the owner. https://drive.google.com/.../1n_OE.../view...Community.
Walks, Camp Fire, Music, Community Dinner and a little Mushroom Education in the barn are making each weekend even more meaningful and fun. Our vision is to make this a community-building event, two to three times a year.
Our current program is preliminary and times are approximate. We encourage participants to share their own talents as part of our weelemd program, but also to share it at our Georgia Mushroom Festival in October (contat me).
Join us for the weekend, a day or just a few hours as time permits; your visit will be greatly appreciated as contribution to our effort to create a new regional event and bringing together people with all kinds of interests.
A small donation for the hard-working forest stewards will be gratefully accepted.
